Ditch the Popcorn. Kale Chips to the Rescue!

Chef B’friend and I decided to watch a movie last night after a long day of running around (I ran up the Hudson River. He ran around on the soccer field.) We chose a very serious and sophisticated movie (Lost Boys) to watch, and we wanted some delicious noms to accompany the flick. Chips? Gross. Popcorn? Stale.

Kale Chips? Hell yeah!

Kale chips are the perfect, guilt free snacky snack that is so inexpensive to make, you can buy yourself a new swimsuit with all the money you’ll save on movie nights (and you’ll have the figure to match since you’re not pigging out on Pirate’s Booty.)

Here’s how to make them: 

1.) Pre-heat over to 350 degrees.

2.) Break off the curly leaves and place (single layer) on a cookie sheet.

IMG_03993.) Drizzle with a healthy amount of EVOO (use your judgment as to HOW healthy you want them.)

4.) Sprinkle with flavor! Pick whatever you want. We went for salt, smoked paprika, and nutritional yeast (instead of cheese.)

6.) Contemplate the meteoric rise of internet cat popularity and its repercussions.

7.) Get out yo kale chips, pop them on a plate, and enjoy your movie!
